The Prophet s.a.w. said: any one of them will forgive all of your sins. No matter what sin you have done if you repent properly in this month and you do what Allah wants you to do and what the Prophet s.a.w. told us to do, all of your sins will be forgiven.

What are these three things He said?

Whoever fast the entire month of Ramadhan, believing in Allah and hoping for Allah's reward, those are the only two conditions - that you are a believer of Allah and you do the fast wanting the reward from Allah. You're doing it expecting Allah to reward you. Not doing it because society is doing it. You're not doing it because your parents wants you to do it. You're not doing it because of the culture of your country requires you to do it. You're doing it for the sake of Allah, purely to please Allah.

If you're doing it with this intention, The Prophet s.a.w. saif all your sins are forgiven.

The second thing He said: whoever stands up at night in Ramadhan - doing the Taraweeh that is equivalent of the Tahajjud of the other nights.

The Prophet s.a.w. did it occasionally and the Sahabat also did and it is something that He did it in congregation occasionally.

We are encouraged to pray Taraweeh, it is not an obligatory. But we are encouraged to do it and if we do so every single night then that is one more opportunity to have all your sins forgiven.

The third opportunity to have all your sins forgiven is the opportunity known as 'Lailatul Qadr'.

The one night in Ramadhan that when you worship Allah properly, when you're standing in prayer and reading the Quran and doing the dzikir for this one night then all your previous sins will be forgiven.

The Prophet s.a.w. gave us three opportunities in this month to get all of our sins forgiven.

One more blessing of Ramadhan is it is the month that if you perfect your fasting in it, you may enter Jannah by a special door. A door that is set aside for those who fast.

The door is called 'Ar-Rayyan'.

Ar-Rayyan means that which will give you a lot of water because the way to it is to deprive yourself of water. The Prophet s.a.w. said that it is set aside for those who fast frequently, for those who perfect their fast - and you can not perfect your fast until you have perfected the fast of Ramadhan.

Fasting Ramadhan forgives your sins, causes you to enter Jannah, brings about a sense of Taqwa and Iman. The purpose of fasting Ramadhan is to achieve righteousness and piety.

Luqman advice's his son: Oh my son, be humble. Do not turn your cheek up against the people.

What does it mean? Literally, it means don't be arrogant. Talk to people with humbleness. Be calm. Develop your character, your conduct, your speech. The way you interact with people. Make sure that is your key to Jannah, your key to paradise.

When the Prophet was asked about the deeds that would help to earn Jannah, He said: the consciousness of Allah and good character.

So be a beautiful person. Be humble no matter what you have. You can be a very powerful person, a very wealthy person, a very good looking person, you can be whatever but you need to be humble. People would love you when you're down to earth. Don't become arrogant. Don't turn your cheek against people.

There was a guy who was late at the airport and there was a woman checking in the passengers. .

The woman said "You've missed your flight sir. I am sorry."

He said "No. You must open it. You have to make sure that I get on the flight."

She says "I'm sorry. I can't do that. You're late."

Obviously it was his fault for being late. And then the arrogance steps in. Some people who are powerful get so tempted t flex their muscle at that stage.

He says to her "Do you know who I am?" Full of arrogance.

She says "Hold on. Hold on."

So she goes to the PA system and says "Ladies and gentleman, there is a man here who doesn't know who he is."

Can you wonder the guys face and his reaction? Subhanallah.

Don't ever tell someone, who I am? We are all human being. We are all the same, you and me. Don't be arrogant.

And don't walk with haughty fashion on earth as if you're the only person on earth. As if you're the only one. Like you own the world.

You don't need to walk the earth like you're the guy, you're the main man. Like you're the most handsome or prettiest on earth. There would come the day where wrinkles would develop on you as well.

When you walk, be humble. Relax.

If you walk with arrogance and you fell flat on your face, people wouldn't come to help you. Most likely the would laugh at you. But if you walk with humbleness and you fell, people would rush to your help.

Allah does not like those who are arrogant, haughty, proud - too much pride.

Sadness.

When we are sad, what exactly do we need to do?

Firstly ask yourself, is my relationship with the maker, the owner of happiness, good?

Is it intact?

Is it proper?

For example, if I am a person who has no link with salah, no link with the Quran, no link with Allah s.w.t, how do i expect to combat the sadness that I am feeling?

I will continue feeling more sad because I have lost focus.

Lost focus from what?

From the reality, the destination, from exactly where I am.

The world, the life on earth is absolutely temporary. It would not last long. We are here to be tested.

If you sit and ponder over it, it will help you to remove the sadness in your life.

Sit for a moment and think, it will snatch your sadness. It will withdraw, it will combat the sadness you are feeling. Just by thinking for a moment, what am I doing? Who am I putting my head on the ground for here?

Because even if everything is going against your liking, you are assured that it is going according to the plan of Allah.

Human being, we feel sad. But a believer is given remedy to that sadness

One of them is, develop your salah. The quality of it. Take your time when making wudu. Take your time. Go to Allah s.w.t. by standing facing the qibla and when you're saying Allahuakbar, you should know what you're saying.

You're saying Allah is The Greatest.

He who has chosen this problem, this sadness to be in my life, is actually the greatest. He is my Lord, I am praising him.

Concentrate in the prayer, take your time. When you complete your prayer, you feel rejuvenated. You feel complete. You feel like you've just had communication with your Rabb. The one in charge. The one in control.

Secondly take your time when it comes with the Quran - the words of Allah.

Allah addresses all mankind, saying o people indeed a reminder or a warning has come to you from your maker and a cure for the disease of the heart.

One of them is sadness.

It is a disease. It is what lies in the chest. When sadness is felt, where is it felt? People put their hands on the chest because they are sad.

Want to combat the sadness? Quran is the remedy.

How many of us take our time to happily, gladly open the Quran - the words of Allah every morning before we leave the home?
Read the Quran, even for five minutes?

Reading the Quran with melodious recitation, see what it does to you - it is different than just reading it like a book.

Do it for the sake of Allah, this is the remedy for sadness.

When you give the Quran the importance it supposed to be having, it combats your sadness without you realizing.

Goodness happens - be thankful.
Bad things happens - be patient.

But never be upset with Allah. These actions will alleviate sadness.

Larilah sejauh mana pun dan selama mana pun masa berlalu, zaman sekolah menengah tetap akan dikenang. Tak kisahlah samada zaman sekolah yang macam mana pun dilalui, memori tetap memori. Kenangan tetap kenangan. Ia tetap akan kita ingat sampai bila-bila.

Duduk di asrama dan ulang alik dari rumah, tentu ada beza yang besar pada kenangan-kenangan zaman sekolah. Sudah tentu apa yang dirasai oleh pelajar yang duduk di asrama, tak akan dilalui oleh pelajar yang ulang alik dari rumah.

Sebagai contoh, pelajar yang ulang alik dari rumah tak mungkin akan merasai pengalaman pelajar asrama yang terpaksa bangun awal pagi untuk berebut bilik air untuk mandi pagi. Kalau setakat berebut dengan kawan-kawan tak mengapa, kadang kala kena berebut dan beralah dengan senior-senior lagi. Beratur nak masuk tandas tapi kena potong dengan senior. Lumrah duduk asrama begitulah, kan?

Mungkin ada satu perkara yang tak semua asrama lalui. Iaitu kena denda sebab masbuk solat subuh. Mungkinlah. Sebab aku sekolah asrama SMKA memang diwajibkan solat berjemaah lima waktu. Sekolah asrama lain, aku tak pasti.

Zaman aku dulu, bukan setiap hari pelajar yang masbuk solat subuh akan didenda. Tidak. Ada masanya, tiada ustaz pun yang turut serta sekali subuh berjemaah dengan pelajar. Ada masanya yang turut serta solat jemaah dengan pelajar adalah warden yang bukan ustaz. Jadi warden tak ambil peduli sangat bila pelajar masbuk.

Tapi ada seorang ustaz ni, memang semua pelajar pun tahu dia punya pantang kalau ada pelajar yang masbuk solat subuh berjemaah. Sampaikan kadang-kadang yang tak masbuk pun boleh terkena denda sekali. Sebab apa? Sebab pelajar tu duduk dekat dengan pelajar lain yang masbuk. Dan benda ni, aku sendiri pernah kena. Aku tak masbuk pun. Tapi sebab aku solat dekat dengan peajar lain yang masbuk, sekali dengan aku kena denda dengan ustaz. Pasrah.

Masjid aku sekolah dulu, ada bahagian dewan solat utama yang berkarpet dan bahagian luar yang dibahagikan dengan dinding pemisah (yang ni sebelum kerja naik taraf masjid dijalankan).

Jadi ada sekali tu, aku saja nak duduk kat bahagian luar tu, solat subuh di bahagian luar tu. Aku turun awal dan tak masbuk pun. Tapi di saf belakang aku, ada beberapa pelajar lain yang masbuk. Masa tengah wirid, tiba-tiba kami semua yang solat di bahagian luar tu kena panggil dengan ustaz. Aku masa tu tak tahu sebab apa kena panggil, ikut je la. Ingatkan ustaz ada nak minta tolong ke apa ke. Sekali disuruhnya kami berbaris panjang di tepi masjid, mengadap ke dalam masjid. Punyalah malu masa tu, semua orang pandang kami berbaris macam tu.

Lepas tu ustaz tanya, kenapa masbuk. Seorang-seorang di soal siasat. Bila beritahu tak masbuk, dikatanya kita menipu.

"Kalau tak masbuk, kenapa solat di luar?"

Ah. Sudah solat kat luar pun kena denda?

Tapi seingat aku, pagi tu kami semua sekadar kena soal siasat sahaja. Tak ada yang kena denda ketuk ketampi atau pumping terbalik. Kalau kena denda macam tu, memang senaman pagi yang terbaik.

Masa tu, nasib baik aku dah mandi sebelum subuh. Kau bayangkan pelajar lain yang belum mandi tu. Muka bukan main sememeh lagi. Yang lagi menariknya, ustaz lepaskan kami daripada berbaris tu elok lagi 5 minit nak pukul 7 pagi. Yang belum mandi, memang berdesuplah lari balik bilik nak bersiap untuk ke kelas. Sudahlah jam 7.15 pagi kena siap beratur untuk perhimpunan pagi. Bayangkan betapa harunya keadaan masa tu. Aku yang dah siap mandi pun serabut nak bersiap sebab dah lambat, cuba bayangkan yang masih berkain pelikat tu. Mesti gosok gigi pun tak sempat. Heh! Bukan gosok gigi saja tak sempat, sarapan pun pakat tak makanlah pagi tu. Maka berlaparlah ke kelas bersama seribu penyesalah.

Itulah antara pengalaman di asrama yang tak akan dapat dah di tempat dan masa-masa yang lain.

Kenangan-kenangan yang macam ni, kena simpan elok-elok dalam ingatan. Mana tahu, nanti anak aku masuk asrama dan benda yang sama jadi pada dia. Masa tu bolehlah gelak sama-sama. Kemudian mak dia geleng kepala sebab ayah dengan anak sama je.

Kuah tumpah ke nasi, kan?

Eh. Macam awal lagi nak cakap pasal kuah dan nasi ni. Kbye.

Ada satu benda yang aku baru perasan. Masa program Retreats beberapa minggu lalu, tak ada pun gambar-gambar masa sesi BBQ. Padahal gambar masa sesi BBQ juga sama penting untuk tunjukkan alumni bukan sekadar buat aktiviti-aktiviti serius. Kita juga mahukan mereka yang bersama dengan persatuan rasa seronok dengan aktiviti-aktiviti santai kita.

Seorang tumpu nak masak ayam.
Seorang pula nak kena hantar alumni ke Amanjaya. Jadi dia kena cepat-cepat makan.

Dua orang ni la photographer alumni sekarang ni. Nak harapkan pada diorang je untuk dapatkan momen-momen alumni.

Kalau aku masih pada jawatan yang lama, aku pun boleh nak main kamera. Kau boleh kata apa salahnya aku main kamera walaupun aku dah berada pada jawatan yang baru. Ya, memang tak salah. Boleh saja aku nak main kamera. Masalahnya aku tak sempat. Banyak perkara lain aku nak kena cover sampai aku tak sempat nak main kamera pun. Kamera aku sendiri yang aku bawa dari rumah, aku biarkan dalam bonet kereta. Aku tahu, kalau aku bawak keluar aku tak sempat nak main punya. Mungkin aku akan biarkan saja kamera aku tu atas meja dalam bilik JPP tu. Jadi, daripada aku letak dalam bilik JPP, lebih baik aku simpan dalam kereta saja.

Kau tanya aku, apa je pun benda lain yang aku nak kena cover sampai tak sempat nak main kemera masa BBQ tu?

Aku kena hadap Bendahari untuk bincang pasal keluar masuk duit untuk program tu. Masa tu juga nak kena selesaikan sebab petang tu juga beliau nak beransur. Kemudian bincang pasal duit pendaftaran ahli yang aku uruskan. Duit tu aku nak kena bagi pada siapa dan bila aku nak kena bagi. Tu pun sebenarnya aku tengah tolong bakar ayam diorang tarik aku untuk bincang semua tu.

Sempat juga aku dengan anak buah aku (AJK Unit) selesaikan berkenaan pendaftaran ahli. Kira semula duit pendaftaran, semak keahlian, tengok siapa yang belum daftar lagi dan kenalpasti siapa yang janji nak bayar melalui bank-in.

Selepas tu duduk bersembang dengan Presiden, Timbalan Presiden dan lain-lain berkenaan alumni. Kamera ada je atas meja masa tu kalau tak silap aku. Disebabkan perubahan jawatan ini, banyak benda yang aku biasa dan suka buat dah agak terbatas. Aku tak kata aku tak suka. Aku terima seadanya. Aku tahu kemana tumpuan yang aku kena berikan sekarang ni (berdasarkan jawatan).

Cuma aku nak tekankan kat sini, aku rasa ianya satu kerugian bila momen-momen santai macam ni, yang boleh jadi tarikan untuk orang join alumni, tak dapat dirakam dan didokumetasikan. Rugi.

Itu sajalah aku nak omelkan hari ni. Ada banyak benda aku nak tulis pasal alumni ni, cuma aku masih cari kekuatan.

Aku tengah lost ni.

Lost lagi?

Ya. Nampak gayanya macam tu la. Aku tak tahu nak buat apa walaupun aku tahu ada banyak benda yang boleh aku buat. Perlu ke aku buat? Perlu. Tapi nak ke aku buat? Entah. Penatlah asyik macam ni.

Kali kedua benda ni jadi kat aku. Aku tak sabar nak cari jalan keluar daripada semua ni.
